These air plant terrariums are on Fire! Display tropical Velutina (Left), Red Abdita (Middle) and Ionantha Fuego (Right) air plants in hand-blow glass teardrop shaped terrariums complete with black rocks. Each of these three plants has been selected due to their tendency to have long lasting red-hues in their leaves and blooms. Artistically hung in groups of three, or placed on a table with their flat bottoms, these arrangements will add a gorgeous touch of nature to the indoors.
We will always pick out the most vibrant three plants of these species that we have in our greenhouse. Be mindful that the blooming and coloration process is cyclical and colors may fade before the bloom cycle starts up again. Well-sited air plants that are properly taken care of can flower multiple times a year.
These glass orbs highlight each plant's unique red foliage: Velutina's red-tinged leaflets, Abdita's red, glossy, arched leaves, and finally Ionantha Fuego's nearly neon bloom center. These particular air plants, placed against the backdrop of the black stones, unquestionably "POP" with color. Air plants are low maintenance plants requiring just weekly mistings or quick soaks to keep them hydrated. Hang or set your tear drop terrariums in bright, indirect light for best results.
