Live Beautiful is Athena Calderone's design book on how creative people actually decorate their homes. She is the founder of EyeSwoon and author of the James Beard award-winning Cook Beautiful.
The book moves through the homes of interior decorators, fashion designers and tastemakers from her own network. Two of Calderone's own residences are included.
What separates it from a pure photography book is the structure. For each home she starts with the spark that began the project, then breaks the rooms down into their parts: layered textures, patterns, collected objects, built vignettes. Each section closes with how to apply that thinking in your own rooms.
