This Laguiole horn folding knife has a solid horn handle, shiny bolsters and a shepherd's cross. Laguiole en Aubrac handcrafts it in France.
The horn is pale and creamy with soft grey veining. Shiny bolsters at each end give it a clean, bright finish. It is the classic Laguiole silhouette in one of its most traditional materials.
The handle is solid horn with a horn tip and shepherd's cross. The bee and spring are forged from one piece and fully handmade, and the spring is polished on the inside. The 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel blade is 4 inches (10 cm) long. It measures 4.75 inches (12 cm) from bolster to tip. It includes a certificate of authenticity. It is made in the village of Espalion, in the historic Laguiole area of France.
Horn warms in the hand and suits a first good knife. You could give it as a coming-of-age gift, or keep it at the table for cheese.
