Description

This Laguiole buffalo horn steak knife set brings six handcrafted French steak knives with dark horn handles to your table. Laguiole en Aubrac makes them in France.

The horn is near black, so the steel bolsters and blades look especially bright against it. Laid out at six places, they give a table real presence. Each handle carries the distinctive shepherd's cross.

You get six knives with buffalo horn handles, shiny stainless steel blades and shiny stainless steel bolsters. The blades are 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel, which the maker says avoids corrosion. Each blade is 4.25 inches (11 cm) long, and each knife measures 9 inches (23 cm) overall. The set comes in a wooden presentation box with a certificate of authenticity. They are made in the village of Espalion, in the historic Laguiole area of France.

Dark horn suits almost any dinnerware, from white porcelain to stoneware. Use them for Sunday roasts and steak nights, then put them back in the box. They are an heirloom set you will pass on rather than replace.
